OPERATION BOOK LAUNCH 1.0
HELP ME GET 100 REVIEWS FOR GIDEON’S DAWN AND WAYMAKER!
I am stoked to announce that the updated editions of the first two books of The Pearlsong Refounding series are FINISHED. The first shipment of advance copies have arrived, and I’ll soon be sending them out to a veritable host of advance readers, reviewers, podcast interviewers, youtube (aka “booktube”) reviewers, and the like.
I’m going to do everything in my power to make these books fly.
HOWEVER, the number one most important thing any book needs in order to succeed is something I cannot provide: READER REVIEWS. The more reviews a book has, the more visible it becomes to potential new readers. As new readers buy in, they leave more reviews, creating a positive feedback loop for the book, making it visible to even more readers.
For that reason, I have a few BIG ASKs to make of you, depending on whether you have already read Gideon’s Dawn and/or Waymaker:
ASK #1 ——> IF YOU HAVE ALREADY READ BOTH Gideon’s Dawn and Waymaker, will you post a fresh review on the new book listings on Amazon and Goodreads? Even if you have posted a review in the past, because these new editions have new ISBNs (book identifier codes), the old reviews will not transfer to the new listings. Your fresh review does not need to be complicated or involved (unless you want it to be). A simple “I loved it!” or “Great read!” or “Really enjoyed it. Recommend!” are all perfectly acceptable.

ASK #2 ——> IF YOU HAVE NOT YET READ ONE OR BOTH BOOKS, I would love to send you a digital ARC (Advance Reader Copy) of Gideon’s Dawn and/or Waymaker for FREE so you can read the books and write a review before the official launch in September! To receive the ARCs, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:
You need to be a fan of epic fantasy fiction (think Lord of the Rings or Chronicles of Narnia),
You must agree to read the book(s) and complete them in the months of July and August 2025.
You must post a separate reader review of each book on Amazon and on Goodreads before September 15th, 2025 (using the links above)
You must have an e-reader that can access and read an ePUB file (this is the standard file format for most e-readers).
To get your ARC, just complete the short google form linked below, and I’ll be in touch. (Oh, and if you have read the books, but just want to read these updated versions before writing your review, that's totally ok by me! Just complete the ARC Squad sign up form below.)
As the post title says, our BIG LAUNCH goal is to get 100 published reviews on each book within the month of the official Launch Day (which I’ll be publicly announcing soon, but will be shortly after September 15th).
